세계 최고 수준의 연구중심 대학교로 발전하기 위한 노력에 적극 동참하고자 하시는 분을 포항공과대학교 교수로 초빙하고자 합니다. 


■ 초빙분야 및 인원: 양자기술, 양자물질, 생물/통계 분야의 이론 및 실험 전공 총 2명 이내


■ 임용예정: 2027년 상반기


■ 지원자격: 사립학교 교원임용에 결격사유가 없는 초빙관련 분야 박사학위 소지자 (임용예정일 이전 박사학위 수여예정자 포함)

Tenure-Track Faculty Positions in Physics at POSTECH:

Quantum Technology, Quantum Materials, and  Biophysics/Complex systems



The Department of Physics (http://ph.postech.ac.kr) at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH http://www.postech.ac.kr/eng/) in Korea invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions to begin in Spring 2027. We are seeking outstanding candidates in the following areas: Quantum Technology, Quantum Materials, and Biophysics/Complex systems.

We look for candidates with the potential to build an internationally competitive research program at POSTECH. Successful candidates are expected to have international recognition in their fields or a demonstrable potential for such. They are expected to establish and lead independent research groups at POSTECH, and should interact and collaborate effectively with scientists at POSTECH and POSTECH-based research institutions. They are also expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and supervise graduate students. 

Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. in Physics or closely related fields, but we also welcome applications from exceptional Ph.D. students who expect to complete their Ph.D. by their faculty appointment date. We anticipate hiring at the assistant professor level, but will also consider an associate professor appointment for exceptional candidates. Compensation will be commensurate with the applicant's qualifications. Non-Korean citizens and female scientists are encouraged to apply.

Candidates should submit an application package that consists of: (1) a Curriculum Vitae including a full list of publications, patents, and technology transfers etc., (2) a statement of past research and future plans, (3) three representative achievements (journal publications and/or R&D records), and (4) at least three references with their contacts information. Please be reminded that all documents sent will not be returned. (5) The recommendation letters should be submitted directly by the recommenders through email (ph-recruit@postech.ac.kr). 

The application deadline for the documents (1~4) is Apr. 5, 2026 (KST) and the deadline for the document (5) is Apr. 19, 2026 (KST). Applications after the deadlines may be considered until the positions are filled.
