[Sep 13, 2013] 김윤호 교수 연구실 - Experimental realization of a delaye
Quantum optics and quantum information laboratory under professor Yoon-Ho Kim experimentally implemented two dimensional quantum walk with single photons for the first time. The theoretical work was cooperated with a theoretical group in Imperial College London, United Kingdom. This work was published in Nature Communications on Sep 13, 2013. Kim's group implemented two dimensional quantum walk of single photons using entangled photon pairs and experimentally showed that the result of the quantum walk can be controlled remotely using the entangle photon pairs after the quantum walk is finished. This achievement will contribute the researches on complex quantum simulations, quantum search algorithms, and so on.

[Sep 11, 2013] 김윤호 교수 연구실 - Observation of detection-dependent
Quantum optics and quantum information laboratory under Professor Yoon-Ho Kim observed that the multi-photon coherence time, defined by the width of the interference signal, depends on the number of interfering photons and on the measurement scheme chosen to detect the particles. The theoretical work was cooperated with a theoretical group in Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies, Germany. This result was published in Nature Communication on 11 Sep 2013. The previously known coherence time of light changes with respect to the spectrum of the light. However, Kim's group reported that coherence times of photons depend on the detection schemes of single photon detectors after the photons pass interferometers. It is theoretically and experimentally turned out that this phenomenon occurs when more than four photons interferes. This work will contribute the researches on the properties of coherence of quantum systems composed of multi photons.
