Parallel multi-target detection for quantum LiDAR (양자 LiDAR를 위한 다중 표적 병렬 탐지)


Prof. Heedeuk Shin’s research team has demonstrated a quantum LiDAR technique that can read the distance and direction of multiple targets in parallel, even when background noise is 1,000 times stronger than the target signal. The work turns the natural wavelength randomness of quantum photons into a beam-steering resource, opening a path toward low-light LiDAR that does not rely on point-by-point mechanical scanning. The study, titled “Parallel multi-target detection for quantum LiDAR,” has been published in Laser & Photonics Reviews.
