A Korean Project on Neutrino Oscillations

"An experiment, RENO (Reactor Experiment for Neutrino Oscillation) is under construction
to measure one of three neutrino mixing angle (theta_13) which has not yet measured,
using anti-neutrinos emitted from the YongGwang nuclear reactors in Korea. It is in a
strong competition with Double CHOOZ in France, and Daya Bay in China to obtain the
result on the mixing angle. A measurement or stringent limit on theta_13 would be crucial
as part of a long term program to measure the CP violation parameter using accelerators.
A sufficient value of theta_13 measured in this reactor neutrino experiment would strongly
motivate the investment required for a new round of accelerator neutrino experiments.
In this talk, the current status of RENO construction and experimental methods will be
described. "
